“summer” is a metaphor — i wrote this song at the beginning of a major crossroads in my life, when i started to realize i needed to stop living for other people and start living for myself. i’ll always have my heart on my sleeve, but i’m slowly learning how to protect it. young love feels like summer - hot, hazy, and it always ends. the good news is, another one is always around the corner, bring in new adventure and perspective. thank you for going on this adventure with me
